A few weeks ago I received some coupons in the mail to try Michael Angelo's frozen entrees. I usually shy away from frozen meals due to the cost, but sometimes these are on sale for 4/$10 at my local Publix (even without the free coupons that's a good price).
We love Italian food around here but since there are only two of us, it's hard to make a baked dish that won't feed us for weeks! I picked out the Lasagna with Meat Sauce and the Baked Ziti with Meatballs for my son.
While I know it's hard to make a really bad Lasagna, I was very surprised to find out how fresh and homemade the Michael Angelo's meals were!
The pasta didn't over cook in the microwave and the sauce wasn't too sweet (the problem with most store bought sauce). I will buy them again, they will make a nice change of pace in between all the holiday food!

Thanks again for the post, DJ!
Italian *is* holiday food in our house! My sons requested stuffed shells for Christmas Eve. :-)
Amanda: Thanks for the link, we can always use the savings!
Amy: As I was writing this, I was thinking the same thing. I'm sure Italian food is the norm for many family holidays, lucky them!
My mom is making frozen lasagna this year for thanksgiving in lieu of turkey. Works for me!
