Potty Training Update!

Two weeks ago I blogged about my current toilet training adventures with my son. Many of you left wonderful, insightful comments and I took them to heart.
Since then we have had tremendous improvement!
I decided to back off and it worked. I told him one night that it wasn’t up to me anymore when he used the toilet, it was up to him to come to me and tell me if he was ready.
I put him back in pull-ups and 24 hours later ( I kid you not), he woke up in the morning and told me he "felt the pee pee coming." We ran to the toilet and he went without wetting his pull-up!

Throughout the day he continued to tell me before he went. The next day I asked him if he wanted to try underwear again and he did. So far this week during the day, he has had only one accident! I am so proud of him for taking the responsibility on his own, I think that’s all he wanted!
We will still wear pull-ups at night for a while, but that will still cut down on expenses a lot! Thank you all once again for your help. Blogging moms are the best source of information there is!

Congratulations! We're beginning potty training right now.. and it is such a daunting task. I'm definitely looking forward to not having to shell out $25 for a carton of diapers anymore!
