We have a new member to our feline family!
This is Honey Bear, he is a ten year old Maine Coon with some minor health issues. His owner was unable to give him adequate care any longer and was considering euthanasia.
Due to my 20+ years of experience as a veterinary technician, I'm able to give him a home for the rest of his life, come what may.
His health concerns are stable, though he may have an asymptomatic heart condition and may also need future surgery to remove re-occurring bladder stones.
He is a very friendly cat with people, but it may be awhile before he can live in peace with my others cats. So for now he has his own room.

Aww,he's gorgeous!!
Look at those big feet!
I'm glad that we're able to ease suffering in
animals but sometimes...I think people use it
as the easy way out and that disturbs me.
I may be the owner of a fourth cat,if my neighbor's don't get their act together soon.
Four cats..I'm not sure if my mind can take it!
Bless you for taking in Honey Bear! He is a handsome cat.
Also, the mask and wings for your son is such a cool costume.
What a cute name for a cute kitty!
He is lovely. Welcome Honey Bear! I am impressed with your love and care to take him in.
I'm glad you took Honey Bear in. He is a beautiful kitty. Hopefully he'll live a nice long happy life with you.
I just wanted to stop in and say thanks for the comment about my lost cats. I have been checking the old house on a regular basis. It's not that far away so that was my first thought. LOL. I didn't think to check the vets though. So thank you for that idea. I think I'll go put a sign up there too! Thanks so much. http://www.thegeeksgirl.com
