Recycling Tips!

Starting in the fall, I like to clean out closets and drawers before sprucing up the house for the holidays.
I usually donate things like clothes, toys and baby items, to Goodwill or a local charity thrift shop. Some things I feel better recycling.

I found some links I will look into this year and thought I'd share:

Soles United - send them your old Crocs and they make them into new shoes for people in impoverished regions of the world.
Give the Gift of Sight - they take sunglasses and eye glasses and donate them to someone in a developing country.
Used Brick Liquidators - will take your old Legos and re-sell them, providing support to several missionary groups.
Book Crossing - is a tracking site of sorts where you can "set your books free" to be read by anyone and track where it travels. It's a terrific idea!
Book Crossing is defined as "the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise".
Kidz Art - uses your old CD's and DVD's for their children's art projects.
Green Disk - is a service that helps you recycle all your computer trash.

I have been setting books free for over a year with Book Crossings. It is just too fun to leave a book somewhere and try to find where it ends up!

BTW, I have awarded you here:

That's a really good idea!
I've been thinking I need to do the
same lately..I have no idea how my house
(which is tiny) gets so cluttered.
