My first entry in the children’s “Blast From The Past Crafting” series.
This tutorial has been adapted and updated from “The Stay At Home Book” by Cappy Dick.
These artificial flowers are easy to make, bright, cheery and everlasting. Younger children will need mom's help and older ones can make them on their own.

Step two: With pencil, lightly draw a ½ inch circle in the center of each circle.
Step three: Using scissors, make cuts around each circle from the outer edge down to the centerline.
Step four: Fold petals up slightly and stack the colors of your choice together in sets of three.
Step five: Thread tapestry needle with a scrap of yarn and gently push the needle up through the center of all 3 paper layers, then thread a bead on the needle and push it back down through the flower center, approximately 1/8 of an inch over from the first hole.
Cut off needle and leave ends of yarn behind the flower.
Step six: Using ends of yarn, tie flower to the top of a pipe cleaner to make stems.
Make as many flowers as you like and then cut the stems to assorted lengths and place in the vase of your choice!
Happy Crafting!
