Looking Up!

My son like many children his age spends a lot of time studying the sky. He has always been eager to point out everything he sees.
Recently he is asking a lot of questions about clouds.
We have been discovering shapes and colors in the sky as well as identifying cloud types and weather conditions.
I came across this website to help with our study.

Meteorologist Crystal Wicker, a television meteorologist for the ABC affiliate in Indianapolis, Indiana, hosts Weather Wiz Kids.
This is a terrific site with everything from weather history to experiments you or a teacher can do with your child.
There is information about careers in weather and a section on photos and art. Children can submit their own art as well!
You will also find a great links page, which will lead you to everywhere on the web you need to go concerning weather.

So if your child is fixated on the clouds visit Weather Wiz Kids for a bird’s eye view of the weather!

I was always fascinated by clouds too. I have an unusual photo on my flickr - not sure of etiquette for posting links but I assure you my flickr photos are child safe. Please feel free to delete if it's not 'the done thing' - :)
