Do you do it? I do and I didn't even know it.
While running errands today without my son, I stopped into the veterinary clinic where I used to do relief work. The staff was sitting outside during lunch and one of the techs. ask me if my son was with me. I replied, no he was at home with grandma today. Then another one added "I knew he wasn't with you , your walking much too slowly and relaxed"!
She was right, I was looking up and seeing people and trees, my jaw wasn't rigid and fixed ready to bark orders. As other mothers know, when your out in public with a 3yr old, your always fixed on him and rushing to get where your going before the next tantrum, meal or diaper disaster. Not to mention being in constant lookout mode for dangerous people, or really anyone that wants you to stop and chat about your life ( or former life ).
What this tells me is that even though he is with me 24/7, some of that time is less than quality. If only there was a way to relax a little too then maybe, just maybe, errands could be fun?

lol. I know what you mean. It doesn't really even stop when they get older. My daughter is 8, and I still do the same thing sometimes.
Thanks for the warning.lol!
