It was almost dark and the sky was clear.
The space shuttle launch was spectacular and
this time I remembered my camera.
My son was so cute waving goodbye to the astronauts. He spent the 30 minutes before the launch watching them on the Nasa channel and then we ran to the front porch after lift off.

What a cool experience! How lucky that you were able to catch that on film. I bet your son will remember it forever :)

awesome...I remwber many launches when I was a child.
That is very cool...my son would have gone nuts for that as well.
Have a great week.
Christine: I'm sure he will remember it too, thanks for visiting!
Trish: Glad to hear the memories stuck with you!
Kelley: Anything to do with space, right?
You and your son is so lucky.
I have loved watching shuttle launches ever since I can remember. Now only if I can see one not-on-screen !
That's amazing! Something they'll never forget!
Wow.....That is an amazing shot. You must live down in Florida. We tried to watch the launch but we had clouds. Even so, we never would have seen that........except on TV.
Oh and, I love your blog.
Hope you have a beautiful weekend.
Robin: Yes we do live in Florida, about 1hr south of the Cape.
