I just have to gloat and say I'm totally in awe of my son!
This weekend we were at a local park and he was kicking his soccer ball around when he spotted a coach out on the field setting up for practice.
The coach saw him and came over and invited him to come out and practice kicking the ball around the cones.
He had never seen that before, but he has been able to run and kick continuously while running since he was about 2 1/2.
He watched the coach for a minute and then got right behind him with his own ball and maneuvered it through the cones with his feet.
I was so proud of him and cheering like he had just won a game ( he was alone on the field with the coach). He was beaming with joy and wanted to do it again and again.
The coach came over to tell me he was having a soccer camp this summer at the park for 5-7 yr olds and wanted to ask my son to join. I told him he is only 3 1/2 and he was so surprised. We will probably go and watch, the coach said if he isn't nervous with the older boys he would let him play!
I think he wants to groom a future ringer!
